DO EGO-RESILIENCY, SELF-EFFICACY AND LIFE ORIENTATION PREDICT SELF-ESTEEM OF TOP WORLD MAGICIANS? AN INTERNATIONAL STUDY

Performing as an illusionist requires having adequate internal and personality resources. These determine the success of stage performance have impact on how individual perceives self, influence self-esteem. The aim article is to ego-resiliency, self-efficacy, optimism self-esteem top-world magicians. A group 50 top world magicians – champions magic took part in research. participants were surveyed using Self-Esteem Scale (SES), General Self-Efficacy (GSES), Ego-Resiliency (ER11), Life Orientation Test (LOT-R). Results showed positive, statistically significant correlations between and: ego-resiliency dimensions, positive life orientation amongst sample. Moreover, stepwise regression analysis allowed determining predictors self-esteem, where strongest one was optimism.
